FAQ - Community Give-Back Challenge

September 29th is the third annual Sports Day in Canada - a national celebration of sport, from grassroots to high-performance, in communities across the country.  The vision of Sports Day in Canada is to reach out to all Canadians to build, solidify and celebrate the role of sport in our country.

Sports Day in Canada is presented by CBC Sports, ParticipACTION and True Sport and is an opportunity for all Canadians to celebrate the power of sport to build community.

The True Sport Community Give-Back Challenge provides True Sport members with an opportunity to give back to their communities by, volunteering their time or creating an event and donating the proceeds to a local community charity or cause.

True Sport members can demonstrate one of the unique characteristics of the True Sport Movement – putting values into action and unleashing the power of positive sport to create healthy vibrant communities.

True Sport members who participate in the True Sport Community Give-Back Challenge will be asked to submit a You Tube video, photograph(s) and/or a story depicting what they did and how they did it to www.truesport.ca/challenge in order to be eligible to receive a cash award that they can use to help their group or organization continue to live the True Sport Principles in their community.
