Are you a True Sport member that likes to give back to your community?
By entering the True Sport Give Back Challenge, True Sport members could win 1 of 3 cash prizes worth $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 to continue their work in advancing the True Sport Principles and the values of: fairness, excellence, inclusion and fun.
How do I enter?
Volunteer time with a group, raise funds for a local charity or take part in a community event.
Capture and describe your sport group’s contribution to the community in a short 2-minute YouTube video. The video can reflect an event or activity any time between November 30, 2013 and November 7, 2014, so you can go back into your archives if you wish!
How can I increase my chances of being a finalist?
Your video must effectively show and/or describe what your group did to give back. In other words, your video shouldn’t require a caption explaining what you did for viewers to understand. Think about effectively communicating this through: video footage, photo montage, voice-over or even rolling text.
Be sure to use ONLY royalty-free music in your video! We cannot accept submissions containing mainstream music, unless you have permission.

Use your 2 minute video to:
Explain how your group is committed to True Sport. Why is it important for you to give back?
Describe how your group is growing the spirit of giving in your community. Did you involve others or get creative in order to amplify the contribution?
Tell us how many people you reached. What was the impact?
What if I’m a finalist?
Finalists will be notified November 21, 2014 by email.
Anyone can vote for his/her favorite video twice daily between November 24 at 10 a.m. EST and November 27 at midnight EST.
How do winners get announced?
Three cash prizes of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 respectively will be awarded to the top three entries who receive the most online votes. The prizes are intended to help finalists to continue to live the True Sport Principles. Winners will be announced on RBC’s Sports Day in Canada presented by ParticipACTION, CBC and True Sport on November 29, 2014.
