Communities
Describe
To join True Sport, you need to get your community involved. True Sport is a social movement driven mainly by groups connected to sport in their community. Communities are an important part of the Movement. Often, a single person—like you—introduces their community and its leaders to True Sport.
You can tell your community’s leaders -- the mayor, town councillors, parks and recreation officials, school trustees, or anyone else you think would be interested -- about True Sport in a few ways:
Discuss
Once you’ve given your community leaders some information about True Sport, it’s time to get together and talk about whether you’re ready to commit to the True Sport Principles. This step is about more than just sending people a link or a print-out. It’s an opportunity to get together and talk about the kind of sport you want to promote among people of all ages in your community. It’s a chance to talk about the principles you want to stand for, and the concrete actions the members of your community can take to Live True Sport. Take some time to talk to others about what True Sport means to you and then sign the declaration certificate (downloadable from this page, on the right).

Once your community has had its discussion and is ready to adhere to the True Sport Principles, you can complete your online declaration below. This will activate your support of the True Sport Movement. It’s a moment to be proud of and you will get to share it with the rest of the members of the Movement.
As well, your support of the Movement gives your community access to display materials.
