The Canada Games and the True Sport Movement share a common goal – to inspire youth to practice values-based sport.
The Canada Games value ethical conduct, inclusion and striving for excellence as well as working, playing, training and competing with integrity, honesty and respect – values that help shape the character of everyone involved in sport.
In recognition of the power of sport and the shared values of the Canada Games and True Sport, the Canada Games Council has joined the True Sport Movement and the 2009 Canada Summer Games Host Society has declared the 2009 Canada Summer Games a True Sport Event.
