Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD)
Canadian Sport for Life is a movement to increase sport’s contribution in Canadian society recognizing sport as an important part of everyone’s life by promoting each child’s healthy and logical development in a sport or physical activity.

Contributed by Canadian Sport for Life (CS4L) to the True Sport Movement.

The True Sport Movement believes sport can improve the lives of Canadians of all ages. These documents, developed by Canadian Sport for Life and the Canadian Sports Centres, emphasize sport as an important ingredient of healthy development for young people. They also present programs and ideas for sustaining Canadians’ love of sport over the long term: from children’s first involvement with sport to high-level adult competition to healthy, active living in later life.
